Founder
L. Subramaniam aka Anand is the man behind the well-loved and popular ASA Pens. Having spent most of his early life in Kolkata, Subramaniam relocated to Chennai at the age of 41 where he quit his corporate career of nearly two decades and pursued his passion - creating beautiful and sturdy fountain pens.
ASA pens are popular among fountain pen connoisseurs in over 70 countries because they are affordable, sturdy, and high on aesthetics. All ASA pens are manufactured in his Chennai workshop and individually tested before they are shipped.

For the asking price of 1500 rupees, I find ASA Athelete an impressively well built and excellent pen with a great nib. The finish on the barrel is excellent and like an athlete it is supremely well built. It's supremely comfortable to hold, and the pen is light enough that it makes as a great long writer of a pen.
